1. Who operates TrendsMap
TrendsMap ("we", "us") is operated by [Legal entity name — not yet established], under the laws of [Jurisdiction — not yet established]. By using trendsmap.io (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms.
2. The Service
TrendsMap aggregates public news coverage and displays it on an interactive map, alongside community-submitted content: trend votes, polls, predictions and comments started from real news stories. Trend indexes and activity scores are informational signals derived from media volume and community input — they are not verified facts, forecasts, or professional advice of any kind (financial, medical, legal, or otherwise).
3. Accounts and anonymous participation
Voting on trends, starting or voting on polls and predictions, and commenting are all open without an account today, identified only by an anonymous device-generated ID. As registered accounts roll out, features that track a public identity or Pulse-based leaderboard ranking will require one. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure.
4. User content and conduct
You retain ownership of content you submit (comments, polls, predictions) but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and distribute it as part of the Service. You agree not to submit content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, or that impersonates others.
5. Anti-spam and Pulse penalties
To keep the platform useful, we automatically detect self-promotional links and domains in comments. Detected content is replaced with a moderation notice and the author's Pulse score is reduced. This is an automated process and may occasionally flag legitimate content — contact us to dispute a moderation action.
6. No financial or predictive guarantee
Polls, predictions and trend scores reflect community sentiment, not verified outcomes or investment advice. Do not make financial, medical, legal or safety decisions based solely on TrendsMap content.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, or remove content, at our discretion — particularly for violations of Section 4 or repeated spam/abuse flagged under Section 5.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by [Jurisdiction] law, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its content.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
